Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised Agnikul Cosmos, a Chennai-based personal area startup, for achieving a significant milestone in India’s area exploration journey. The local startup efficiently launched its rocket named Agnibaan SOrTeD (Suborbital Tech Demonstrator) on its fifth attempt, marking a historic second within the country’s efforts.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to X, formerly Twitter, to congratulate Agnikul Cosmos on this milestone. He praised that the rocket launch is an extraordinary achievement that the entire country can be proud of. He added that the profitable launch of the Agnibaan rocket, powered by the world’s first unibody 3D printed semi-cryogenic engine, is a momentous occasion for the Indian sector and a testimony to the exceptional ingenuity of Yuva Shakti of the country.

The Prime Minister has additionally extended the need for entry-level personnel in the personal space for his or her future endeavors. The test launch of Agnibaan SOrTeD took place at 7.15 am and the Indian Area Analysis Organization (ISRO) confirmed the success of the launch. Reportedly, ISRO Chairman S. Somanath confirmed the achievement and emphasized the importance of this achievement for Indian trade.

The Indian Area Analysis Organization (ISRO) further congratulated Agnikul Cosmos for the profitable launch of the Agnibaan SoRTed-01 mission from their launch pad. The Area Organization said this is a significant milestone as the first-ever managed flight of a semi-cryogenic liquid engine has been achieved through additive manufacturing.

Reportedly developed at IIT-Madras, this was the first foray into flight for the startup, founded in 2017 by two young aerospace engineers with a dream to create a place where people learn to use the fireplace. The rocket, which weighs 575 kg and is 6.2 meters long, took off from Sriharikota and plunged into the Bay of Bengal.

In addition, the Agnibaan SOrTeD is powered by a semi-cryogenic engine that uses commercially available aviation turbine gasoline, primarily kerosene and medical-grade liquid oxygen, said Moin SPM, co-founder of Agnikul Cosmos Personal Restricted.
