House of MCR: Manchester’s greatest talent takes center stage during Factory International

Factory international pulls out all the stops in June House of MCRa three-night extravaganza that will leave you breathless and begging for more.

House of MCR will be an unforgettable celebration of Manchester’s vibrant QTIPOC community, featuring a wide range of talented artists from the city’s underground clubland and nu-wave cabaret scene.

Hosted at Aviva Studioshome to Factory International, the show’s 27 artists will showcase their unique skills in a variety of art forms, including dance, singing, lip-synching and fashion.

Expect an eclectic mix of performances, from the energetic fashion dancing that has become synonymous with the ballroom scene to emotionally charged lip-sync performances that will leave you in awe.

Created by Manchester-based Darren Prichard and presented by acclaimed performer, director and activist Rikki Beadle-Blair, House of MCR will see artists compete in six categories each night: We dress, we sing, we dance, we strip, we lip syncAnd We are family. Because the audience determines the winners, every evening promises a unique and unforgettable experience.

Additionally, each two-hour performance will be followed by an after-party hosted by local legends Ghetto Fabulous, Club Zindagi and Swagga.

During the event you will have the chance to learn more about the artists and their stories. Many of these talented individuals have overcome significant obstacles and challenges to be where they are today, and House of MCR provides them with a platform to share their experiences and express themselves through their art.

In addition to the individual performances, House of MCR will also feature group numbers that showcase the sense of community and family that is at the heart of Manchester’s QTIPOC scene. These performances will be a celebration of the bonds forged through shared experiences and a love of self-expression.
