Michael Trestl, CCO of Austrian Airlines commented on the new flights planned for winter 2024/25:

“Our goal is to continually expand our route network to offer our guests a broad portfolio of destinations.”

“We have successfully achieved this in the winter flight schedule with the addition of Ivalo and the continuation of the new summer destinations into winter.”

“On long-haul routes, it was important for us to initially serve Boston in the winter and offer more flights to destinations that are popular among our guests.”

“This approach aims to return to pre-crisis levels of intercontinental services and provide attractive connections worldwide.”

In conclusion: Austrian Airlines plans to go big for the 2024/25 winter season.

As the weather gets colder in Austria, demand for travel to warmer climates has increased slightly.

Moreover, demand for services to the US has also increased for winter purchases and travel.

For now, all eyes will be on how the new flights perform and how operations are going with their new Boeing 787s.
