A driver stopped in Caledon for allegedly driving almost double the limit will have to find an alternative route after being handed a one-month driving license suspension.

Caledon OPP officers stopped the vehicle in a residential area where the speed limit is 60 kilometers per hour.

They claim the car was traveling at 70 miles per hour.

“Anyone found guilty of stunt driving faces a fine of between $2,000 and $10,000 or imprisonment for up to 30 days,” the OPP said in a social media post.

The suspect was charged with stunt driving and given a two-week car confiscation.
