Oil India Recruitment 2024: Oil India Limited (OIL) has released a vacancy notification for the appointment of a Director (Human Resources) through the PESB portal. Eligible and interested candidates can apply for the position before July 1. The position of Director (HR) at OIL will fall vacant on January 1, 2025. Currently, Ashok Das is the Director (HR) of OIL.

Director (HR) is a member of the Board of Directors and reports to the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD). He/she is responsible for HR planning and manpower organizing, HR policies, performance management, compensation management, separation planning, talent management, training, capacity building, human resources services, industrial relations, CSR, safety and legal functions in the organization.

Pay rate: Rs 1,80,000 – 3,40,000 (IDA)

Age limit: Minimum age 45 years and retirement age 60 years

The minimum seniority required in the eligible scale is one year for internal candidates, and two years for others from the date of vacancy.

The applicant must, on both the date of application and the date of the interview, be employed in a regular capacity – and not in a contractual/ad-hoc capacity – in one of the following positions:

a) Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) (including a full-time functional director on the board of directors of a CPSE);

(b) Officers of Group ‘A’ of the Central Government, including Union Armed Forces and All India Services, and officers of Public Sector Banks or Financial Institutions or Autonomous Bodies, etc.;

(c) State Public Sector Enterprise (SPSE) with an annual turnover of *Rs 10,000 crore or more;

(d) Private sector in a company where annual turnover is *Rs 10,000 crore or more.

Preference is given to candidates from listed companies.

(*For the application of the approved limits, the average audited annual turnover of three financial years preceding the calendar year in which the item is advertised is taken into account)

Educational Qualification

The applicant must be a graduate with a good academic record from a recognized university or institute. A postgraduate diploma or diploma in personnel management or human resource management or a master’s degree in business administration (MBA) or a postgraduate diploma or program in management (PGDM/PGPM) from a recognized university or institute is desirable.

The applicant must have at least five years of cumulative experience in various aspects of HR or human resource management or industrial relations in a reputed organization during the last ten years.

Remark (i) Group ‘A’ officers of the Central Government, including All India Services (AIS) and Autonomous Bodies etc., should hold a post at the level of Joint Secretary in the Government. of India or with equivalent salary on substantive basis on the date of application.

(ii) Candidates from public sector banks/financial institutions must have held a board level position or at least a position at the level immediately below the board level for one year on the date of application.

(iii) Candidates of the Union Armed Forces must, on the date of application, hold a post at the level of Major General in the Army or an equivalent rank in the Navy or Air Force.

Candidates from state-owned public sector enterprises or from the private sector must be employed at board level or at least at a post immediately below the board level on the date of application.

Duration of the appointment

The appointment is for a period of five years from the date of commencement of employment or until the date of retirement or until further decision, whichever is earlier.
