Taylor Swift Dublin’s start time has been confirmed as thousands compete for Eras Tour tickets

By Vaseline Jun10,2024

Taylor Swift kicked off the UK leg of her Eras Tour at Edinburgh’s Murrayfield Stadium this weekend, with three of the most attended stadium shows in Scottish history.

Irish Swifties will be counting down the days until the record-breaking tour makes its way to Dublin, with the superstar performing three sold-out shows at the Aviva Stadium on June 28, 29 and 30.

Now that the countdown is well and truly underway, organizers have confirmed what time the performance will start. According to the official Taylor Swift Eras Tour website, all three Irish concerts will start at 6pm sharp. Paramore is the support act for the shows in Dublin, so the band is expected to be on stage then.

Although the full schedule for the shows has yet to be confirmed, based on recent concerts in Edinburgh, Paramore will likely perform for around 45 minutes, from 6pm to 6.45pm. If the timing matches Edinburgh, Taylor will take to the stage at 7.15pm, putting on a massive three-and-a-half hour show, finishing around 10.40pm.

If fans without tickets didn’t suffer from FOMO before, they do now. After the Edinburgh shows there was a wave of up to 30,000 fans an hour turning to resale sites to get the last last minute tickets.

Ticketmaster has officially activated resale for the Aviva Stadium concerts, but ticket transfers won’t be made available until much closer to the date of the shows. Once this is activated, fans who still want to get a ticket should keep an eye on Ticketmaster’s website HERE where official resale tickets are being sold. Tickets will likely be purchased very quickly, but Swifties can check regularly for official resale tickets and they might get lucky.

For those desperate to see the concert, another option to consider is unofficial ticket sales websites. Viagogo sells Eras Tour tickets for the shows in Europe and Great Britain. Anyone wanting to travel outside of Ireland can currently get tickets to other locations. In addition to Dublin, the 34-year-old has upcoming concerts in UK venues in Liverpool, Cardiff and London, as well as European venues in Amsterdam, Zurich, Milan, Gelsenkirchen, Hamburg, Munich, Warsaw and Vienna.

Should You Buy Taylor Swift Resale Tickets?

Fans of Taylor Swift may be looking for tickets to the star’s Eras Tour shows in every possible way. However, they may experience anxiety when looking at products sold by the aforementioned reseller sites, such as viagogo.

Viagogo’s ticket guarantee states: “When you purchase tickets on viagogo, viagogo guarantees that you will receive the tickets you paid for in time for the event. In the rare event that a problem arises and the original ticket seller does not issue you the tickets, offered for sale, viagogo will, at its sole discretion, review similarly priced tickets and offer you replacement tickets at no additional charge, or viagogo will refund the cost of the tickets to you.

“Replacement tickets at a comparable price will be determined by viagogo in its sole discretion. When you sell tickets on viagogo, provided you specify the exact tickets for sale and the ticket buyer successfully gains entry to the event, viagogo guarantees that You get paid for your sales.”

Meanwhile, Ticketmaster and AXS – Taylor Swift’s official retailers – also released a statement claiming that tickets purchased from other than authorized retailers would not be valid. They said: “The only way to obtain a valid ticket for Taylor Swift’s shows is through the approved ticket agents. In the UK the approved ticket agents are Ticketmaster, AXS or directly through the venue’s website. In Ireland the authorized ticket agent Ticketmaster. Tickets purchased through resale on the unofficial secondary market are not valid for admission to the concerts and will be canceled in accordance with the terms and conditions of sale.

“Official resale facilities limit ticket resale prices to help combat ticket price inflation and put an end to ticket overselling. For more information about official resale facilities, fans should visit the website of their authorized ticket agent. These resale facilities make it allowing fans to sell their tickets with confidence and allowing fans to purchase resale tickets with the assurance that the ticket they are purchasing is genuine.

Fans attending live events with tickets obtained through resale websites are advised to double-check the ticket terms and conditions at the point of sale – such as Ticketmaster or Live Nation – to ensure a smooth live event experience. Tickets may be declared invalid if they are found to have been purchased second-hand. As a result, fans purchase at their own risk.

That said, Viagogo also noted, “viagogo is a regulated marketplace where fans have the guarantee.”
